Kinloch is located on the shores of Whangamata Bay, Lake Taupo. The village is 20km by road to the west of Taupo city.
The area has a permanent population of around 500 which increases to about 2500 during peak holiday times. Kinloch village contains a well-equipped store/takeaway restaurant and a fully licensed high quality restaurant. The marina, with mooring and boat launching facilities, and the 10 hole public golf course, are features of this serene and spectacularly located village.
Taupo city, with a wide range of bars, restaurants, cinemas, supermarkets and shops is only 15 to 20 minutes drive from Kinloch.
