Boat owners from around New Zealand and overseas are drawn by the excellent, safe facilities, reasonable annual berthage fees, the attractions of the Nelson region, and the marina’s central location. The marina is in a sheltered area and is not subject to sea surges. It is surrounded by marine-related businesses.
All berths are leased from the Nelson City Council. The average pontoon size is 11m. Nearby, Port Nelson has a superyacht berth for larger vessels. Electricity is round pin plugs only. Choose from a cradle-lift and one fifty tonne travel-lift or a crane for mast removal.
Nearby is a commercial laundromat. Cafes, bars and the city centre are within 15mins walk and the airport a short taxi ride away.
Nelson Marine Radio operates on VHF channel 28 and 60. There is a continous marine forecast put out by Coast Guard on channel 22.
